Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

The approach

Under EU legislation each property that is rented or sold is required to have an EPC. They are valid for ten years and came in to force in 2008. Our qualified assessors will visit your property to produce your EPC, which takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete. As long as your property achieves a Level D rating or higher then it has passed, if it is Level E rating or below then we can provide a desktop assessment to advise on how to make changes to improve your home’s rating.

Our process

Step 1

You can make the booking by phone, email or using our online form. The EPC has to be booked in and completed within 28 days of marketing your property.

Step 2

The assessor will visit your property, which can be either vacant or tenanted and will complete the assessment in around 30-60 minutes.

Step 3

After the job the assessor will generate your report and EPC. If your property fails and is a Level E rating or below we can provide guidance on how to improve this in order to pass the EPC.

Step 4

Your report will be logged on the national database and your certificate will be provided. Your EPC will be emailed out to you within 5 working days.
